I did think that this sounded like a modern contrived name, however I am informed by http://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/9274 that it has been called this for at least 30 years and is perhaps a reference to Nelson's spyglass and iron-clad ships or "kettles". That is a bit anachronistic as HMS Victory and its contemporaries were copper-bottomed. Situated on the corner of Stourwood Avenue and Southbourne Overcliff Drive.
