Bench Mark by the Black Sluice lock

The OS cut mark on a stone that is part of the Black Sluice Pumping station and lock. A lot of heavy construction has gone on close by but the stone looks untouched and probably still reflects the measured height that it was surveyed to. The path to the right is a starting or finishing point of the Macmillan Way long distance footpath which I think the sign said 290 miles to Abbotsbury.
