View NE from A339, to probable site/remains of station; Basingstoke left, Alton right. Basingstoke - Alton Light Railway, operational for only 25 - 30 years, closed to passengers 12/9/32, goods 1/6/36, but immortalised by 1937 film 'Oh, Mr Porter'. (My wife, who was driving, is studying the map, this Station site being especially difficult to find).
