A long cutting (called Northall Green) stretches for over a mile north of Dereham. A total of five bridges cross the gap this being number three. Built for double track it was never doubled unlike the Dereham to Wymondham stretch. This section is currently undergoing restoration by the volunteer crew for an estimated opening in 2012. The trackbed here is private, I was on a supervised walking event.
