Approaching Hurst Farm

This is the start of the footpath south-east across grassland to Hurst Farm. All around there was the sound of light aircraft. Looking up, in front of the large cloud, you can see two aircraft. One is powered, the other is a glider, and is being towed from nearby Lasham airfield Image up to the best thermals. The glider pilot chooses the moment - at around 2,000ft - to disengage the cable, allowing the tug to return to the airfield to collect the next glider.
