This photograph shows a view of a cottage located between Bedburn Beck (to the left) and Bedburn Hall (to the right). The picture was taken from the public footpath that runs between Bedburn Bridge (behind the photographer) and Hammsterley Forest (ahead). The snap was taken looking in a south-westerly direction towards the visitors' centre at the north-east end of Hamsterley Forest.
