See also Image and Image; this is a view of the west end from Fitzmaurice Road. This is the third church building on the site; a wooden and metal building was constructed in 1898, followed by a tin church imported in sections from Brighton in 1909. An appeal was soon launched for the larger building that now stands here http://www.stgeorgesjumpers.org/about-st-georges-church.php. Oh dear, is that rain on the lens? Not surprising, given the atrocious weather.
