There are a number of rather grand buildings in Lizard village, no doubt a legacy of the time when an extension of the railway from Helston was proposed. In fact, the line was never built and the village remains a remote place, despite the mainly car-borne modern tourist traffic. The Top House Inn is on the immediate right.
