Sea defences, Borth

The wooden sea-wall at Borth was last replaced in late 1975 ironically immediately prior to an especially destructive storm in January 1976. The storm seen here, though heavy, is not unusual. The defences however, are due to be replaced in the very near future as they are very worn in places.
