Sue Hearnshaw was born in 1961 in Liversedge, West Yorkshire. In 1984 she won the bronze medal for the long jump at the Los Angeles Olympics with a distance of 6.80 metres. The distance is set out here in paving slabs and as my shot of this turned out blurred I will link to this Image by SMJ. This is set out by the bus shelter and anyone who can beat it would probably end up in the village pond.
