There are no hints as to the nature of this new build castle. It is situated to the south of the A95 Keith to Banff road, near Nethermills, beyond the old railway line but to the north of the River Isla. There is no sign of an old castle on the 1940s OS map so I assume that this a replica of a Scottish castle, many of which are to be found on the nearby Castle Trail. A real surprise find on a Geograph trip!!
