I had just crossed this fine but quite awkward granite stone stile (on footpath 406/2/1), which is up a bank and required a bit more momentum than I mustered on my first attempt. This sheepdog came barking after me, but declined to cross the stile, though it did get its head over the top without careering backwards down into the lane as I had. Someone has a bonfire going in the background.
