An old post in Bridge End between Dalton Street and the Bangor-line railway bridge. At first I thought that it might be the remains of an old street light of the type seen in Image A earlier photo of the street (to be submitted in due course) shows that it had no head in 1991 making me think that it’s an old metal telegraph pole – a taller version of this one Image
