Private road that is also a public footpath that runs along the back of the houses of the small hamlet. The terrace just in view are Coastguard Cottages the oldest building here constructed in the early 19th century near Pevensey Sluice to combat smugglers that were using the then isolated beaches of the marshes to run their contraband ashore.
