Bovingdon: Bourne End Lane

This lane, viewed here looking down towards Bourne End, is shown as a driveable road from Bourne End to Bovingdon on the Ordnance Survey 1940s mapping. However the construction of Bovingdon Airfield, and in particular the main east-west runway, must have led to its truncation at Bovingdon Reservoir.
