The nerve centre of Hereford cattle breeders. The first official herd book for the breed was inaugurated in 1846 since when every pedigree animal has been recorded in its archive. The handsome building, appropriately enough coloured red and white, has its corner-door surmounted by a model of a Hereford bull.
