The second house is called Captain Cook's cottage, which rebuilt at the site of William Sanderson's Draper's shop, this was damaged in a storm between Sunday 4th November to Friday 9th November 1767. For more details see: http://www.captaincookatstaithes.co.uk/the-north-yorkshire-heritage-coast/54/
