Market Street and the covered market, Swindon

Market Street leads away from the viewpoint at the left. It is now pedestrianised and has been for some years. The covered market at the right stands on the site of a Victorian market hall demolished in the 1977. It has recently re-opened following a period of closure and contains various small retail and service enterprises.
