Normally a very busy road, closed here for a short while to allow part of a trade union march to pass. North Street is the A804 which is effectively an extended slip road for east bound traffic joining the M8 from Tradeston. Traffic crosses the Kingston Bridge on the motorway before a maze of roads in Charing Cross, eventually joining the M8 at junction 18. This is quite strange, you get on to the motorway, then have to leave it for city streets before finally rejoining the M8 for the final time. The M8 can be seen in a cutting below.
