The font is of a typical 15th century design with a low octagonal bowl. The cover dates from 1633 and was given by the Reverend Robert Byng, a former Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge until he saw the light at the age of 44 and escaped to Wiltshire. Sadly he backed the wrong team in the English Civil War and was ejected from his living in 1646. He died in 1658 two years before the Restoration. The play area equipment is probably early 21st century.
