The church of St Michael and All Saints and Holy Cross > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1742397 - http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1742423 stands isolated, approximately one kilometre to the north-east of the village of Wormegay > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1742337 on the northern edge of Church Wood, beside an unsurfaced farm track that serves as a public bridleway. The site is surrounded by Roman and Saxon remains. The church - built from carstone and once belonging to the Augustinian priory down by the River Nar - was all but rebuilt in the 1890s. The tower dates from the late 14th century but not much dating from medieval times has survived the extensive restoration.
