Another photo of the former pub shown in Image and Image As David Cornforth explains at http://www.exetermemories.co.uk/em/_pubs/cowleybridge.php , which details the pub's history, it closed in 2008 and reopened as the Thai Shanghai Restaurant, "albeit still selling real ale". To the left is the split between the railway lines to Barnstaple (the "Tarka Line") and the main line to Tiverton Parkway (right). On the right, across the A396 Stoke Road, are Barton Cottages.
