Cowley Steps

Looking up the River Exe from the eastern Cowley Bridge to the weir known as Cowley Steps, for obvious reasons. "Cowley Steps were designed by an engineer with a perverse hatred of all canoeists" http://www.ennerlampkirk.org.uk/wccc/exeDescent.htm . Behind, the Barnstaple ("Tarka") railway line diverges from the main line to Tiverton Parkway, just visible through trees at top right.
