The full name of this church is the 'Polish Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of Czestochowa'. It was originally built in 1852 but was consecrated as a Polish church in 1930. It has served the Polish community in Britain ever since and was, during the Second World War, the only free Polish church in Europe.
