Half-timbered building in Spon Street (with cyclist outside). Coventry's oldest pub, listed in 2010 Good Beer Guide, with records going back to C15. Internally, corridor with rooms to left and right, opening out to bar on left & drinking areas to right and back. Wooden beams, low ceilings and stone flags. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Greene King IPA, Morland Old Speckled Hen, Sharp's Doom Bar, Shepherd Neame Spitfire, Theakston's Old Peculier, Wychwood Hobgoblin.
