The plaque reads: TO THE GLORY OF GOD This church was built by Mrs Ishmael Jones. in memory of her husband and seven children. 1895 In 1891 Ishmael Jones was a 'Gentleman (retired) Grocer' and at that time the family were living at Trelawny Towers. The stone itself is interesting, being full of fossils - crinoids I think, which can be seen at high resolution.
