This photograph shows a view of motor traffic on the A66 road between the Newport interchange and the Teesside Park interchange on the outskirts of Middlesbrough. The twin towers of the Newport Bridge (over the River Tees) can be seen on the horizon in the left-hand side of the image. The picture was taken from the southern-most of two pedestrian footbridges that cross this section of the road - the other bridge can be seen near the horizon. The viewing direction was north-north-east towards the Newport interchange.
