The late 19th century lodge is at the entrance to the Ty Fry Estate and was originally the lodge to the country estate of the Insole family of The Court, Llandaff. It is constructed of local random rubble with Bathstone dressings and quoins with a picturesque pitched roof. It is a Grade II listed building being of definitive architectural character and retaining original windows.
