The estate comprises a picturesque early 18th century landscaped park that survives in its original form together with several buildings and features of historical interest. The gardens include a woodland dell with a Japanese flavour, possibly designed by Alfred Parsons and Partners in addition to woodland containing conifers and rhododendrons, some of which were planted in the 1940s and 1950s. The property is also one of many sites utilised for the filming of the Dr Who series.
