The retail park was built on a site formerly occupied by an ironworks and the Moray Park Maltings and transport repair workshops of Scottish & Newcastle Breweries Ltd. The buildings shown above belonged to the London Road Foundry of Miller & Co. (est. 1867) until its closure in the 1990s. The low building was the workshops frontage, while the turreted tenement behind housed the company offices. The foundry specialised in the manufacture of cast-iron rollers primarily for use in the paper industry, as well as railway wagon wheels and gear wheels. Image
