Built in 1884 by the LNWR & GWR Jnt railway companies, Hereford Signal box survives into the 21st century. Although the windows have been recently replaced by Network Rail, seemingly without much sympathy for the originals, to my mind they do not look as out of place as many such alterations. I hope that I'm not alone in my view that these are historical buildings and should be treated as such.
