A good solid traditional stone farmhouse, with a fine view north towards the sea. This is taken from the south. Newton was originally part of Image], but Slogmahole was split in 1792/3, and Newton (literally the 'new farm') was built. It was called Newtown of Birkenbog, then Newton of Birkenbog, and is now simply Newton.
