One of the few remaining such houses on Shore Road in Skelmorlie. This one was known as Halketburn Cottage and has associations with the American Civil War, William Watson (1st Sergeant 3rd Louisiana Infantry Pelican Rifles) having been born here http://www.acwscots.co.uk/watson.htm .
