‘The Church of Christ in Cockey otherwise Ainsworth’ A place of worship existed on this site on Church Street Ainsworth as far back as 1515 and maybe from the 1400’s. Cockey Chapel, renamed ‘The Church of Christ in Cockey otherwise Ainsworth’ was rebuilt in the ancient moated churchyard in 1831. http://www.achurchnearyou.com/ainsworth-christ-church/
