The last major engineering task in the restoration of the Droitwich Barge Canal, and the Droitwich Junction Canal, is the conversion of this part of the River Salwarpe into a navigable waterway. Canalisation is the official word for this process. The river is quite narrow, so presumably it will have to be widened to allow two boats to pass.
