Rood screen, Priory Church of St George, Dunster

The church at Dunster was originally shared by the town and the Benedictine priory, but disputes between the two groups led to the construction of an elaborately carved rood screen across the whole width of the church. The monks used the east part of the chancel, the parish the west part.
