This photograph shows a view of a rather muddy section of the footpath that runs between Yarm Lane (near Great Ayton) and the A172 road (near Stokesley). The section of the path shown in this scene lies just north-west of East Angrove. The picture was taken looking in a north-easterly direction towards Great Ayton.
