A block of two-storey houses at Eaglesham Cross. There was a post office, butcher and general store here at one time; the buildings being converted back to dwelling houses in the twentieth century. Alexander Johnston who owned Sunnyside Nursery had a grocery shop on the corner. Next door was the Post Office. A Bulloch & Co. had a grocery shop at 3 Cheapside Street.
