Woods in the Vale of Lanherne, the route taken by the undercover Catholic priest, Cuthbert Mayne (1544-77), on his way between Image and Image which was the home of Sir John Arundell, controlling Catholic underground activity in Cornwall. Half right in the valley are the buildings of St Mawgan.
