The church which stood at the corner of Cross Lane and Bury Road Image] was closed when the new church on Belgrave street was opened in 2009. Image] The old church was demolished in January 2010. Behind the rubble, St Mary's social club on Pine street is still in use and can be seen to the right hand side of the picture behind the white lorry.
