A new London Overground class 378 electric unit passes under the A4 West Cromwell Road on its run from Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction. These new units were unveiled to the public by Mayor Boris Johnson in July 2009 and are slowly replacing the class 313 units on London Overground services. On the day this photo was taken, the roster for this service was being shared with a 313. The 313's are being dispatched to the south coast for Coastway services. Please see Image for a 313 on the same roster and further comment. Behind the bridge, you can see the Earls Court 2 building and the Empress State Building on Lillie Road. Between these and the A4 is London Underground's Lillie Bridge depot. The tracks on the right are the connection from London Underground's Lillie Bridge depot and those in the middle are the District Line branch to Kensington Olympia from Earls Court.
