Apparently there was a Urie China and Stoneware Merchants at 16, West Clyde Street in 1864,and they had moved to no.71 by 1875. Don't you just love that word 'merchants'? It smacks of by-gone days of trading. This shop is a gem. The minute you walk in, you are transported back to years gone by. Bare wooden floorboards, old fashined counters, mirrors and piles of boxes full of china and glass. It's like a treasure trove. Fabulous!
