The Clock Tower, which is visible from most parts of the park, is a memorial to Dr William Cocker, Blackpool's first Mayor. Back in the 1950's you could put a coin in a turnstile and then climb to the top of the tower ... this facility has now been removed The Tower is opened on occasions and details can be found on the Friends of Stanley Park Web-site on this link. http://www.friendsofstanleypark.org.uk/ Image Image
