Photo taken from the public footpath which has been diverted to the west to go round the car design centre, designed by Lord Foster, see McLaren website http://www.mclaren.com/technologycentre/. The building was a runner up for the 2005 RIBA Stirling Prize. The lake is not just ornamental - it provides cooling water for the wind tunnel. Former farmland west of the centre has become access land, planted as wildflower-rich meadows.
