The footpath that has descended through Sedgecombe Plantation, ends at the corner of the business centre. The business centre was originally an American field hospital, built in 1943 in anticipation of D Day. Later the camp became a Red Cross POW hospital. In 1947 the camp became home to many displaced Polish families who lived there until the 1960's.
