Modern street furniture - Not always sympathetic to older properties. Where ever you stand to admire this link with the past, the pole intrudes. Necessary it may be, but sometimes the old-fashioned wooden poles http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1679875 are better, even if it means a replacement every few years - placed upright of course.
