From time to time steam engines appear in shopping centres and then often disappear as space is needed. This unprepossessing horizontal single cylinder engine was connected to a well pump and driven by a motor. It was soon after removed to Markham Grange Steam Museum. Another example may be found in the Merrywalks Centre, Stroud.
