This photograph shows a view of some people fishing around a pond near to the village of Kirkby. The picture was taken looking in an easterly direction towards the Cleveland Hills (snow-clad in this picture) and the North York Moors National Park. Broughton Plantation can just be seen on the right-hand side of the picture. The high ground that is normally visible from here is hidden by low-lying mist.
