A plaque on the gate states " 'The Rectorie of Lacknah'm cum Brakendall'. Mansion built circa 1620 by Anne Kempe, a merchant's widow, on land owned by the Cathedral Priory. Embellished in 1656 it became the townhouse of Augustine Reve of Wacton Hall." However, as noted in the listing http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=228842&mode=adv , the date 1578 is shown on the Dutch gables.
