A tram heads eastbound at the beginning of Addiscombe Road. In the present day, Addiscombe Road starts at East Croydon Station, but in past years, the whole of what is now called George Street, was part of Addiscombe Road, so in those days, it began at the junction with North End and High Street, by the Whitgift Hospital.
